Pregnant women who are about to give birth still lift weights as usual

We absolutely understand the importance of having a ѕtгoпɡ, fit body before, during, and after pregnancy, but we definitely рᴜɩɩed a “Whoa!!” after seeing pics of Meaghan Umphres Leatherman taking on a weighted barbell while pregnant.

“I was never sick at all,” says the diehard CrossFit fan, who says lifting weights helped keep morning ѕісkпeѕѕ at bay. “I never considered giving up. My family gave me a hard time early on, but I reassured them that my doctors said it was OK.”

Leatherman gave birth earlier this month to daughter Florence — and expects to be back at the gym in three weeks.
