Tranquil Oasis: Captivating Sight of Two Elephants Bathing and Drinking in Harmony at a Thai Pool

Heartwarming footage has emerged of a pair of elephants taking a dip and drinking in a swimming pool in Thailand.

The video, shot at Samui Elephant Sanctuary in Koh Samui, shows the two elephants – named Kham San and Kham Pang – enjoying the company of each other and often behaved very lovingly in the swimming pool.

According to filmmaker Ryan Emmerson, Kham San was rescued in 2017, and Kham Pang was rescued in the middle of last year, and they have become “inseparable best friends.”

“Elephants like to bathe alone or with other elephants,” Ryan said.

“To do this, they need space to splash, roll, sink and cover themselves in lovely thick mud.”

She added: “If people are in the water around elephants, it not only stresses the elephants but also prohibits natural behaviors.”
