Unbelievable Encounter: Jaguar Takes on Notorious Eagle in Astonishing Display of Agility

After killing the eagle, the jaguar acted extremely confusingly by leaving the body of its prey and then leaving.

This clip posted by YouTube channel Olivia Reed records a jaguar hunting an eagle in Botswana, southern Africa.

Just because of a moment of inattention, the eagle Martial had to die under the clutches of a jaguar. However, the jaguar did not eat the eagle, but just killed it and quietly left.

The Martial Eagle (scientific name Polemaetus bellicosus) is the largest eagle in Africa and the 5th largest in the world.

They have dark gray-brown fur on the back, head and upper part, while the underparts are white with a few black and brown spots. Martial eagles’ diet is very diverse, in which they love to eat snakes and lizards, especially notorious venomous snakes such as cobras, vipers, mambas and African rock pythons.

With extremely good eyesight, the Martial eagle can detect prey from a distance of 3 to 5 km and swoop down to pounce with sharp claws.

Although they are the rulers of the sky, when on the ground they are still no match for jaguars.
