From the brink of death, a stray dog has been rescued once again, he is now healthy, happy and has faith in humans.
On a sunny day, a non-profit charity dedicated to animal protection in Greece received a call in Attica, reporting the sad situation of a lost stray dog. Immediately, a rescue team called Shelter went to the right place to help him. (source: Sina)
When they found him, the poor dog was in an almost “petrified” state, had lost almost all of his fur and was suffering from several skin, bone, and stomach diseases, and was severely malnourished. (source: Sina)
This unfortunate dog is estimated to be around 5 years old and has been suffering from hunger for a long time. His skin was stuck to the bones, making his ribs protrude frighteningly. (source: Sina)

It was very difficult to get this dog to accept human care, as she seemed to have completely lost trust in humanity. (source: Sina)
Finally, with patience and love, the rescuers managed to get close to her, helping her bathe, applying medication and improving her skin condition. (source: Sina)
After that, the dog was named Petra, which means “stone” in Greek, due to its appearance almost turned into “stone” with its fur stuck together and tangled when it was found. (source: Sina)
After almost four months of love and care, Petra has almost completely recovered. During her recovery process, she has also learned to trust humans again. (source: Sina)

The rescue center hopes that someone will adopt Petra and give her a real home, giving her a life full of love after having gone through so much pain and misfortune.
