The record for catching a fish by biting was not broken, but rather an American angler has just caught a giant fish weighing up to 500 pounds, setting a new record.

With the help of a guide, Jeff Corwin, an American nature conservationist, captures an amazingly large stingray in the Mekong River, Thailand. The fish is more than 4 meters long and nearly 2.5 meters wide. Its large size helps it Ьгeаk the record for the largest freshwater fish ever саᴜɡһt. It took Corwin and a few others on board two hours to pull the fish oᴜt of the water. They were unable to use conventional weighing methods because the fish was so large that they had to calculate its circumference to estimate the weight.
