After enduring this unfortunate neglect for an astonishing six years, a wonderful dog is finally receiving the veterinary care he desperately needs. The Long Way Home rescue group reports that Jake was dearly loved by his previous family, but they failed to seek medical attention when his facial swelling became apparent
“Jake has been living with a salivary tumor for SIX YEARS, according to the owners, as they believed it was caused by a snake bite,” said the group. He was raised as an indoor dog, well-behaved, house-trained, got along with other dogs, and even knew tricks. According to the organization.
