According to the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico (INAH), the bones may belong to a Columbian mammoth (scientifically known as Mammuthus columbi) – a ѕрeсіeѕ that once roamed North America. This mammoth ѕрeсіeѕ was one of the largest to ever exist, standing up to 4 meters tall at the shoulder and weighing around 7 to 9 tons.
